Ukraine remains steadfast in its desire to liberate all temporarily occupied territories, including Crimea and Donbas, and to restore control within the internationally recognized borders of 1991. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov in his last address to the public.
This is how he commented on yesterday's New York Times information that Kyiv is ready to postpone the issue of territories in negotiations with Russia, to freeze the front line and focus on security guarantees for Ukraine.
"Ukraine is fighting to liberate all the territories seized by Russia over the past decade, and any claims that the country is shifting the emphasis of the war, prioritizing security over land, are untrue," Umerov said in a Reuters commentary.
