Ukraine received the third tranche of financial support from the International Monetary Fund in the amount of 880 million dollars, which was transferred on March 26. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.
According to Shmyhal, these funds will be used to cover priority budget expenditures and ensure macro-financial stability.
"Ukraine continues to successfully fulfill its obligations to partners. We are already preparing for the next viewing of the program. We are grateful to the IMF for its support and cooperation!" - wrote the Prime Minister.
Earlier, the IMF approved the allocation of this tranche to Ukraine, noting the effective work of the Ukrainian authorities within the framework of the EFF program. It is noted that Ukraine has fulfilled all but one quantitative performance criteria by the end of December 2023 and all structural benchmarks by the end of February this year.
The IMF also noted that the Ukrainian economy in 2023 was more stable than expected, thanks to stable growth, sharp disinflation and maintaining a sufficient level of reserves.
