Ukraine proposed to hold an important international summit in Rome on the day of the Pope's funeral, which, according to expectations, will have a large number of world leaders, including former US President Donald Trump. About it reports the Italian edition of Le Repubblica with reference to informed sources.
According to the proposal, the summit should include representatives of key countries, including the US, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, and possibly Germany. It is an important diplomatic step that can contribute to the strengthening of Ukraine's international support in the face of a continuing war with Russia.
However, as noted by the Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tayani, there are some doubts about the possibility of such a summit through complex logistics and the need to organize numerous tuples that should ensure the safety of high -ranking officials.
According to sources, Trump can hold separate bilateral meetings under this summit, including negotiations with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, French President Emmanuel Macron and the leader of the Labor Party of UK Kir Selek.
Such a meeting can be an important step towards increasing coordination between Western leaders in support of Ukraine, as well as finding new ways for stability and peace in Europe.
