Ukraine and the European Union have completed the first stage of screening Ukrainian legislation for compliance with European standards and are preparing for the second phase. For this purpose, a delegation of the European Commission arrived in Ukraine. This was reported in the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olga Stefanishyna.
During the first day of consultations, methods and approaches to the next stage of evaluation of Ukrainian legislation were discussed, as well as Ukraine's expectations.
"I am pleased to congratulate all of us on the completion of the first stage - more than 30 explanatory sessions as part of the official screening process. During the sessions, the Ukrainian delegations gained useful experience and the necessary knowledge to continue our confident movement towards full membership in the EU," Stefanyshyn wrote on Facebook.
