The number of expensive cars in Ukraine has increased significantly. If in 2023 there were 7 393 such people, then in 2024-already 10 217. Accordingly, the receipts from the transport tax increased significantly.
According to the State Tax Service, the owners of elite cars paid UAH 220 million in 2024-37% more than in 2023.
- Taxed cars that:
- were released no more than five years ago;
- have a average market value over UAH 2,662 500 in 2024 (in 2025-more than UAH 3,000,000);
- The owners of such cars pay for 25,000 UAH per year for each car
Where do they pay the most?
- The highest revenues from the transport tax in 2024 are recorded in:
- Kiev - UAH 62.2 million;
- Dnipropetrovsk region - UAH 21.2 million;
- Odessa region - UAH 18.8 million;
- Kyiv region - UAH 17.2 million.
What cars are taxed?
The list of tax models forms the Ministry of Economy. In 2024, 488 models were taxed, including Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Cadillac, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Lexus, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Tes-Royce.
In 2025, the list was reduced to 352 models.
Thus, the number of expensive cars in Ukraine is increasing, and with it - tax revenues. If the trend is stored, in 2025 the budget can receive even more money from luxury owners.
