Ukraine lacks 4.5 million employees

Ukraine has encountered one of the most acute demographic crises in its history. The President of the All -Ukrainian Association of International Employment Companies, Vasyl Voskoboynik, stressed that the country is already suffering from critical population decline during the Telelorphone. According to him, only about seven children are born for ten Ukrainian women, while in order to preserve the population, this figure should be 22 children .

"Due to such a situation of return to 40 or 52 million, the population cannot be discussed," the waxboy emphasized. Every year, the population is reduced by 250-300 thousand people , which only deepens the crisis.

According to Viceremer-Minister of Ukraine Alexei Chernyshov , the country will lack 4.5 million employees by 2035 , which is one of the most serious threats to economic development. According to Chernyshov, it is caused not only by low birth rate, but also by the aging of the population and mass migration.

Much of the Ukrainians who went abroad through the war do not plan to return. Moreover, it is estimated that another 2 million people will leave the labor market as a result of age changes.

A Voscow believer believes that the only way out of the demographic crisis is the involvement of migrant workers . In his opinion, such workers will not only help the economy, but can also integrate into Ukrainian society, becoming a full part.

"We need to think about how to develop the economy and ensure its restoration after the war," the waxboy emphasizes.

Alexei Chernyshov outlined three key areas to reduce labor deficit:

  1. Conservation and development of internal human capital.
This includes improving working conditions, stimulating employment and supporting young people.
  2. Returning Ukrainians from abroad.
The government plans to create motivational programs for those who have left.
  3. Involvement of foreign labor.
To do this, it is necessary to adapt the legislation, to create favorable conditions for foreigners and their families.

Chernyshov also stressed that solving the problem of labor shortages is impossible without increasing productivity . This requires investment, innovation development and business support.

For the survival and rapid reconstruction of Ukraine, the government set an ambitious goal - to double the country's GDP over the next decade . According to Chernyshov, the economy should increase by 7% annually , which is a big challenge, but possible if you effectively solve problems with labor.

Today, the shortage of personnel is becoming a major barrier for development. To overcome it, the country needs decisive steps in demographic, economic and social policy.
