Ukrainian scouts report Russia's new attempts to involve Belarus into direct military intervention against Ukraine. According to Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Putin's strategic actions are aimed at attracting Belarus to aggression, but no serious changes in the situation have not happened. Yusov stressed that although there is no news in this direction, the situation should be constantly monitored and ready for possible changes.
At the same time, on February 14, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Russia plans to create 15 divisions to strengthen the Belarusian direction in 2024. These units can have up to 100-150 thousand people. According to Zelensky, this aims to increase military activity at the border with Belarus, which can pose additional threats to Ukraine.
The situation with Belarus remains one of the most intense in the context of war, because the country is a strategic ally of Russia, and there is a constant probability of its participation in the conflict. This not only increases the risks of military escalation, but also calls into question the stability of the situation at the borders of Ukraine.
