According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) , the Ukrainian operation in the territory of the Kursk region of Russia continues, and recently the Ukrainian military has achieved new successes. On October 31, geolocation footage confirmed the advance of Ukrainian forces north of Suzhi, in particular in the direction of the western and southwestern part of Russky Porichny.
However, there is a certain calm in the Glushkovsky district. Meanwhile, Russian propagandists claim that their troops were able to make progress east of Korenevoy, in particular near the settlement of Kremyane. These claims, however, remain unconfirmed by official sources or other independent sources.
Russian sources also reported on the assault actions of Ukrainian troops near Novoivanyvka, located southeast of Korenevoy, and in the Plyhovoy area, south of Suzhi. Units of the Russian 83rd Separate Airborne Brigade and the 810th Separate Marine Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet operate in the region, which provide the defense of the territory.
The operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region shows the intensity of hostilities and demonstrates that Ukraine continues to use active offensive tactics even on the enemy's territory. This also indicates the presence of Ukrainian strategic interests on this part of the front, especially near the borders with Russia, which can be an important component in deterring further attacks by Russian troops on Ukrainian border regions.
