The economic situation in Ukraine continues an unfavorable trend, and businesses express their dissatisfaction with the authorities, believing that enterprises are closing down due to unsuccessful actions of the authorities, as well as due to the actions of law enforcement agencies. The statements of the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the improvement of the situation in the economy do not correspond to reality, according to members of the business environment.
A study by the Institute of Economic Research and Political Consulting shows that business expectations for the next two years have worsened. The number of enterprises that plan to expand their activities has decreased, and the share of those that expect to reduce has increased. The relationship between business and the state was also studied, and it turned out that a significant part considers the state not a partner, but a regulator or even an obstacle.
The tax index of the European Business Association confirms the mistrust of Ukrainian companies in the tax system. According to the research, 40% of enterprises consider the taxation system an obstacle to business development. Fiscal pressure received a high score, and only a limited number of entrepreneurs did not feel this pressure.
Analyst Anatoly Amelin from the "Ukrainian Institute of the Future" emphasizes that the country no longer has an economy, and the growth that is recorded is the result of inflation. He also points to the outflow of businessmen abroad, as they face threats and attempts to extort money in Ukraine.
