Ukraine is once again under the threat of international pressure aimed at ending the war, which has been going on for the eighth year in the east of the country. At a meeting with journalists on the Espresso channel, politician Oleh Rybachuk, former vice-prime minister of Ukraine, expressed concern about the possibility of forcing Ukraine to end the war under certain conditions.
According to him, it looks like Kyiv is preparing for a situation where in about a year they can force Ukraine and Putin to suspend the war.
The politician added that this issue was raised by Donald Trump.
Rybachuk believes that regardless of the details, on what borders and conditions it will happen, such a possibility is real. "Yes, Ukraine will have several years to become stronger than Russia. But Putin will also have time to rest, gather strength — Koreans, Chinese, equipment, etc.," the expert noted.
Rybachuk emphasized that everyone knows well what Putin will do in such a situation, it is already obvious.
But what will happen inside Ukraine during this pause is more important. "I am horrified to think about it. The first thing we will do is jump into the election race. Yermak's people must remain in power. They will do everything to make us quarrel among ourselves, and we are guaranteed to quarrel.
Of the three or five years we will have to become a strong country, even without Russia's military intervention, we risk breaking apart from the inside," Rybachuk said, adding that this is precisely the threat of that very distorted system of power that currently exists in Ukraine.
