Difficult weather conditions are forecast for January 4 in Ukraine: snow, sleet, rain and ice . The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center announced a yellow level of danger due to weather phenomena.

- Light snow, moderate sleet with rain in the east and southeast.
- Snowfall is possible in the Carpathians.
- Wind:
- Western, 7-12 m/s , sometimes gusts up to 15-18 m/s .

In the capital, cloudy weather with clearings, light snow and ice is expected. Temperature:
- At night: 1-3° of frost ,
- Afternoon: close 0°.
Carpathian rivers: additional danger
During January 4-6, ice on mountain rivers, ice accumulations ("overheats") are possible. This can lead to a local increase in the water level by 0.5-1.0 m .
Forecasters urge drivers and pedestrians to be careful due to ice on the roads, and residents of the Carpathians to avoid staying near rivers.
