Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov has for the first time released statistics on the damage the city suffered during October as a result of Russian shelling. It is noted that in just one month, the occupiers damaged 380 residential buildings.
According to Terekhov, as a result of enemy attacks in Kharkiv, 4,648 windows were broken in apartments, of which 4,273 have already been installed. In addition, in 789 cases, glass on balconies was damaged, and in 1,723 cases, double-glazed windows in public places were damaged. Municipal services have already restored glazing on 698 balconies and in 1,548 public places.
The occupiers also damaged 160 roofs, of which 103 have now been repaired. Over 450 utility workers and up to 50 units of specialized equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences of each shelling.
"This data has been collected since the beginning of the war, but this time we are making it public for the first time so that both Kharkiv residents and our partners in Ukraine and abroad can see with their own eyes what challenges the city faces every day, what damage it suffers, and how much effort is being invested in its reconstruction," the mayor emphasized.
According to information, in October, air raids in Kharkiv lasted almost half a month — 339 hours and 51 minutes. The occupiers carried out 25 attacks on the city, most often using FAB-250 aerial bombs. Nine people died and 130 were injured as a result of the shelling.
