The mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, for the first time made public the statistics of the damages that the city suffered during October as a result of Russian shelling. It is noted that in just one month, the occupiers damaged 380 residential buildings.
According to Terekhov, as a result of enemy attacks in Kharkiv, 4,648 windows in apartments were broken, of which 4,273 have already been installed. In addition, in 789 cases, glass on balconies was damaged, and in 1,723 cases - from double-glazed windows in common areas. Communal services have already restored glazing on 698 balconies and in 1,548 common areas.
The occupiers also damaged 160 roofs, of which 103 have been repaired so far. More than 450 utility workers and up to 50 units of specialized equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences of each shelling.
"These data have been collected since the beginning of the war, but this time we are making them public for the first time, so that both the people of Kharkiv and our partners in Ukraine and abroad could see with their own eyes what challenges the city faces every day, what losses it suffers and how much effort is being invested in its reconstruction," the mayor emphasized.
According to information, in October air alarms in Kharkiv lasted almost half a month — 339 hours and 51 minutes. The occupiers launched 25 attacks on the city, most often using FAB-250 aerial bombs. As a result of the shelling, nine people died, and 130 were injured.
