In Ukraine, criminal cases will be opened against mass media and bloggers for publications about violent mobilization

Ukraine is introducing new measures to control information related to hard mobilization. In this regard, the law enforcement agencies announced the opening of criminal cases against mass media and bloggers who publish videos and materials that can destabilize the situation in the country.

This follows from the statement of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"Cases of spreading distorted and unverified information aimed at inciting and destabilizing the socio-political situation inside the country, inciting social sentiments among the population and, as a result, disruption of mobilization, have become more frequent," the statement said.

Dissemination of such information, the statement says, is a criminal offense under Article 114-1 "Obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations."

"Speculative actions in the information space, which consist of direct accusations of allegedly illegal actions by representatives of territorial centers of recruitment and social support, will be checked by law enforcement agencies," the Ground Forces said.

They specified that this applies to "citizens of Ukraine, media of all forms of ownership and belonging, internet bloggers."
