In Ukraine, the prices of dairy products have increased by 30% since August: new price increases are predicted

In Ukraine, a significant increase in the prices of dairy products, which began in August of this year, continues. According to experts, as of mid-November, the cost of dairy products has already risen by 30%. By the beginning of 2025, further price increases of 5-7% are predicted. This was announced by the head of the Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine, Vadym Chagarovskyi.

As for prices for the Ukrainian consumer, they will rise. I predict this will continue until at least early January 2025

- said Chaharovsky.

According to him, this is due to the fact that retail chains do not react so quickly to the increase in the prices of dairy raw materials, namely dairy products, which would compensate for the difference in the price increase.

They increase the price by 5-7%, and we see that since August, the prices of dairy products have increased by more than 30%. I predict that prices will rise by another 5-7%

- Chaharovsky added.

We will remind

Due to difficult weather conditions, the prices of cabbage in Ukraine will increase this year, as the heat prevented the normal growth of the crop. High prices for vegetables are due to other factors as well, including labor shortages due to the war and higher prices for fertilizers and plant protection products on the world market.
