The law on medical cannabis has entered into force in Ukraine

Today, a new law on medical cannabis has officially entered into force in Ukraine, which significantly changes the regulation of cannabis circulation in the country. The Ministry of Health (MOH) reported on the key aspects of this legislative act and its consequences.

Now the circulation of plants of the hemp genus for medical, industrial purposes, scientific and scientific and technical activities is allowed. Cannabis, its resin, extracts and tinctures are excluded from the list of particularly dangerous substances. You can buy them at a regular pharmacy with a prescription.

The content of tetrahydrocannabinol (psychotropic substance) in such marijuana should not exceed 0.3%.

Licensing conditions for the cultivation of medical cannabis have already been developed, but they still have to be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. You can grow medical "weed" from certified seeds under 24-hour video surveillance, with free access to the police.

The circulation of medicines will be ensured by an electronic system, which should be launched in the fall.

Recreational cannabis (common weed) is still banned in Ukraine.
