The State Register of Sanctions entered into force in Ukraine, which currently includes information on 17,202 individuals and legal entities subject to sanctions. This was reported by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
According to the decision of the National Security Council, the register is an information and communication system that ensures the collection, accumulation, protection, accounting, display, processing and provision of information on all entities subject to sanctions.
The main purpose of creating this register is to ensure free public access of citizens to up-to-date and reliable information about entities that have been subject to sanctions.
The register includes 17,202 individuals and legal entities, which are considered as objects of sanctions. On the website of the registry, it is possible to electronically receive extracts with information about a specific person.
Information sources for the registry are decisions of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, as well as court decisions regarding the application of sanctions. According to representatives of the NSDC, the data in the register is updated promptly, is open and publicly available, except for cases provided for by law.
