The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine reported successful blocking of more than 4,500 illegal online casino in 2024. 4,460 illegal sites and 118 mobile applications that violated Ukrainian legislation were terminated
The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine reported on the results of combating illegal online casinos for 2024. According to the department, more than 4,500 resources were blocked, which illegally provided gambling services on the Internet.
In particular, 4,460 sites, as well as 92 mobile applications in the App Store and 26 applications on Google Play, were blocked at the state of the State Security Service.
“We continue to fight the illegal gambling market and the spread of Ludomania in Ukraine. Last year, at the initiative of the President, they appealed to Apple and Google to agree on the removal from the markets of illegal online casinos. Fasttrek was set up with the companies to block the applications, ”the Ministry of Minzitrifra's press service said.
The department stressed that Ukrainians can report on suspicious resources on their own. Upon receipt of such information, the Ministry of Defense command transmits data to Apple and Google for further lock.
The fight against the illegal gambling market is ongoing, and the agency promises to continue to strengthen measures to restrict access to illegal online casinos.
