In Ukraine, long-term heating shutdowns are possible in winter - ex-minister Plachkov

This year's winter can be a test for Ukrainians due to the risks of long-term heating blackouts, which, in the worst case scenario, can last up to 5 days. This was warned by the former Minister of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine, Ivan Plachkov.

Plachkov described three possible scenarios for the passage of the winter period:

1. Pessimistic: cold winter and massive attacks. In this case, long, unpredictable outages for several days are possible to protect the power system.

2. Average scenario: cold winter (-18°C…-25°C) without attacks. Fan and stabilization outages will last 4-6 hours.

3 Optimistic scenario: a warm winter (-4°C...-5°C) and no massive shelling. In this case, short-term outages for 2 hours are possible, which will be organized according to the schedule.
