On the basis of the situational center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Coordination Center for Integrated Border Management was opened, which became an important step on Ukraine's path to joining the EU. This was reported by the State Customs Service.
The new center, which will work around the clock, will be responsible for monitoring the situation at the state border, analyzing risks and forming an operational picture in the field of border protection and protection.
To form this picture, the State Customs Service will provide the following data:
- Operational information on the fight against smuggling and violations of customs rules.
- Details on detections of contraband items such as weapons, drugs, excise goods, as well as environmental, health and intellectual property violations.
- Information on the number of vehicles and cargo that passed through the border during a certain period.
The center includes representatives of the State Border Service, the State Customs Service, the National Police, the National Guard, and the State Migration Service.
"This center will contribute to the strengthening of communication links between various bodies involved in integrated border management," the press service emphasized.
