Recently, the Ukrainian cultural scene was marked by a series of events that aroused interest and indignation among the audience. One of such events was the story of three dancers who, during the tour with the opera and ballet performance "Don Quixote" in Finland, decided to stay outside of Ukraine.
Andrii Mykhalikha, Bohdan Klyuchnyk and Yulia Mykhalikha-Roma, who are members of the Lviv Opera and Ballet team, did not return to Ukraine after the tour in Finland.
The Lviv National Opera is conducting an official inspection regarding the non-return of artists-dancers from the tour. This was announced on the Facebook page of the academic theater on Friday, March 1.
"As of today, ballet dancer Yulia Mikhalikha-Roma has returned to work in the theater. As for the other two artists, in accordance with the current labor legislation, the administration of the theater is conducting an internal official inspection and clarifying the motives and circumstances of the artists' actions," the Lviv Opera announced.
Andrii Mykhalikha and Bohdan Klyuchnyk did not return from the tour in Finland together with the team. As of the evening of March 1, their pages are missing on the theater's website. The profile of Yulia Mikhalikha-Rom has been restored.
We will remind, on February 29 it became known that three dancers of the Lviv National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after Solomiya Krushelnytska did not return from the tour.
The theater troupe was abroad from February 3 to 22. The performance "Don Quixote" was seen by the audience in Estonia and Finland. A ballet performance in Lviv is scheduled for March 31. However, the names of the dancers who previously participated in this production — Andrii Mykhalikha and Bohdan Klyuchnyk — have disappeared from the online poster of "Don Quixote".
