Ukrzaliznytsia is being searched due to a shortage of tickets for international flights

Law enforcement officers are conducting a series of searches as part of an investigation into abuses by officials of Ukrzaliznytsia, which caused an artificial shortage of tickets on popular international routes. According to the notification of the National Police, investigative actions are taking place both in the offices of Ukrzaliznytsia and in international trains.

Abuses were discovered among a group of officials of the UZ division, who probably created an artificial shortage of tickets for personal gain. This led to significant losses for the company and made it difficult for passengers to access tickets for international flights.

Operatives, together with employees of the prosecutor's office and the corporate security department of Ukrzaliznytsia, conduct searches at the places of residence of the suspects, as well as check office premises and international trains during their departure and arrival.

"We call on passengers to treat the situation with understanding and help the law enforcement officers in the investigation," the police said.

Ukrzaliznytsia has already warned about possible temporary restrictions for passengers on some routes, and also promised to reveal the details of this high-profile investigation in the near future.

Law enforcement officers exposed a corruption scheme within Ukrzaliznytsia, which led to an artificial shortage of tickets for international flights. The National Police, together with representatives of Ukrzaliznytsia, conducts active investigative actions, searches take place both in the company's offices and in international trains.

According to the police, a group of officials abused their official position, which led to significant financial losses for the railway and created obstacles for passengers.

Operatives check the offices and places of residence of the suspects, as well as involve employees of Ukrzaliznytsia to check vehicles. All actions take place under the control of the prosecutor's office and the police.
