Ukraine took an active position in the Black Sea, seizing the initiative and becoming a key player in the region. This was a turning point in the geopolitical dynamics of the maritime zone, and the Naval Forces of Ukraine (Navy) provided an explanation for this stage.
This was announced by the spokesman of the Naval Forces (Navy) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (ZSU) Dmytro Pletenchuk on the air of the telethon.
"This morning, the presence of warships was not observed, both in the Black and Azov seas. First of all, this is connected with the situation that has developed for the Russians in the Black Sea. This is the danger of destroying ships. Accordingly, they are now trying to avoid going out to sea," Pletenchuk said.
In particular, as the spokesman noted, this behavior of the enemy may be connected with the presidential elections in Russia. The enemy does not want to spoil the picture with another destroyed ship.
According to Pletenchuk, at present, small boats are fixed in the Black Sea, which are mostly intended for work near the shore, for example, the restoration of boom barriers, or something similar.
As of 07:00, the press service of the Navy reports about 2 carriers of cruise missiles "Calibre", which Russia took out in the Mediterranean Sea.
"In practice, this (initiative on the side of Ukraine, - ed.) means that the enemy is in such a position that he is forced to look for a countermeasure now in order to get out of this stalemate. In a fairly short period of time, they lost three units due to the work of the Defense Forces. Accordingly, they are currently searching for tactical solutions in order to avoid further losses," explained the spokesman of the Navy.
