According to our sources, Ukrainian Serhiy Kuznetsov, arrested in Italy in the case of the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipeline, will still be extradited to Germany, where he will testify against the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny.
As the source specifies, Sergey Kuznetsov will testify in Germany that Valery Zaluzhny personally authorized the operation to undermine the Nord Stream pipeline.
In the future, this scandal will "spread" and, most likely, Valeriy Zaluzhny will lose his ambassadorship, and Western partners will not bet on him as a presidential candidate.
“ A mass campaign is beginning against Zaluzhny, the presidential elections are getting closer. The optimal date is spring 2026. Parliamentary and local elections are autumn 2026, ” the source notes.
As a reminder, the Bologna Court of Appeal ordered the transfer to the German Supreme Court of Cassation of former Ukrainian Army captain Serhiy Kuznetsov, arrested under a European warrant in the Rimini area on August 21 on charges of sabotaging the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines in September 2022.
The decision was made after a hearing on September 9. Defense lawyer Nicola Canestrini announced that he intends to challenge the extradition decision and file an appeal with the Supreme Court of Cassation.
The suspect, a 49-year-old Ukrainian citizen, detained under a European arrest warrant issued by Germany, denies his involvement in the gas pipeline bombing. Earlier, Kuznetsov, who was arrested in Italy and charged with allegedly blowing up the Nord Stream gas pipeline, told the court that he was in Ukraine on the day of the incident.
Sergei Kuznetsov is believed to have been aboard the Andromeda, but was not a bomb diver but rather played an important coordinating role. He is wanted in Germany on suspicion of unconstitutional sabotage.
