From February 1, 2025, gas tariffs for most household consumers remain unchanged, but the cost of electricity depends on the type of tariff and the presence of a multi-zone meter.
The gas tariff for the population is UAH 7.96 per cubic meter . This is fixed by Government Resolution No. 812, which is valid until May 2025. The legislation also prohibits changing this tariff during martial law without a decision of the Verkhovna Rada.
The main supplier of gas in Ukraine remains Naftogaz, which supplies about 98% of domestic consumers. However, there are alternative providers with different tariffs:
- Annual prices range from UAH 7.79 to UAH 9.99 per cubic meter , depending on the company.
- Some providers offer monthly plans with a variable price.
The electricity tariff for most consumers is UAH 4.32 per 1 kWh . For households that use electricity for heating, the tariff has been reduced to UAH 2.64 per 1 kWh .
Multi-zone meters make it possible to significantly reduce electricity costs:
- The two-zone meter allows you to pay half as much at night (from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.) - UAH 2.16 per 1 kWh .
- Three-zone counter distributes the cost of electricity depending on time:
- Night tariff (23:00-07:00): UAH 1,728 per 1 kWh .
- Semi-peak tariff: UAH 4.34 per 1 kWh .
- Peak tariff (08:00-11:00 and 20:00-22:00): UAH 6.48 per 1 kWh .
For maximum savings, a three-zone meter is suitable for those who can regulate electricity consumption during peak hours.
Any consumer of electricity in Ukraine has the right to:
- Buy a multi-zone counter.
- Contact the supplier to switch to the appropriate tariff.
This allows you to optimize electricity costs and adapt consumption to more favorable time tariffs.
Invariance of gas tariffs until 2025 ensures stability for the population in the conditions of martial law. At the same time, the possibility of reducing electricity costs depends on the willingness of citizens to invest in modern meters and change their consumption habits.
