From the beginning of January, Ukraine will introduce an increase in the cost of driving licenses, passing exams and registering cars. According to Government Resolution No. 1386 of December 27, 2023, an increase in the cost of services of territorial bodies that provide service services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is foreseen.
In particular, the cost of issuing a driver's license for the right to drive vehicles will increase from 26 hryvnias to 230 hryvnias. The cost of the theoretical exam will increase from 13 hryvnias to 250 hryvnias, and the cost of the practical exam will increase from 13 hryvnias to 420 hryvnias.
In addition, the costs of registration, re-registration of wheeled vehicles of any category, including the issuance of a registration certificate or its formation in electronic form, assignment of an alphanumeric combination of license plates with or without their issuance, as well as deregistration of a vehicle from issuing a registration card and number plates for one-time trips will increase from 200 hryvnias to 350 hryvnias.
