Scientists have found a way to reduce appetite - and it's not pills

In the fight against extra pounds, we look for everything from fashionable diets to experimental additives. But there is somewhat quite natural and affordable - thylakoids. These are the components contained in the green leaves of plants and, according to scientists, can become an unexpected ally in the fight for healthy weight.

What is thylakoids

Thylacoids are microscopic membranes inside the cells of plants responsible for photosynthesis. But in addition to the production of oxygen and the transformation of light into energy, these structures have another interesting property - to influence the metabolism in the human body.

How thylacoids help reduce weight

Reduced thylacoid appetite
affect the regulation of the hormone of hunger - grelin, as well as sensitivity to leptin, which gives the brain a signal of satiety. It helps to naturally reduce the size of the servings and less frequently to the refrigerator.

Fat is slowed down
by the impact on digestive enzymes, thylakoids reduce the rate of splitting of fats and carbohydrates. As a result, the body absorbs calories more slowly - and has more time to use them as energy rather than for deposition in fat stocks.

Improve the metabolism
of the study show that thylakoids can stimulate the activity of mitocondria - "energy stations" of cells, which accelerates the overall metabolism and promotes calorie burning.

Which products are thylakoids

The simplest source of thylakoids is greens. In particular, they are rich in:

  • parsley

  • Salads of dark green varieties

To get the effect, greens should be consumed regularly and in sufficient quantities, adding it to the main courses, strips or salads. It should be noted that heat treatment can reduce the efficiency of thylakoids, so it is better to give preference to raw or slightly treated products.

Thylacoids are a natural component that is already in your kitchen. Instead of complex diets or expensive drugs, it is enough to pay attention to green vegetables to gradually reduce appetite, improve digestion and maintain healthy metabolism. And although it is not a charming pill, it is quite a real step to a healthier body.
