The key priorities of this year's state order in universities will be specialties related to human capital and the restoration of infrastructure. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mikhail Vinnytsky in an interview with the Mirror of the Week.
According to him, the Project of the Resolution on the volume of government orders has not yet been submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers, but consultations on the Ministry of Economy have already been conducted. It is about the preliminary approval of the most relevant specialties that will be funded by the state.
“Focus is infrastructure reconstruction and human capital. It is primarily medicine, psychology, therapy, rehabilitation. We understand that such specialists are not enough, especially for the help of veterans, ”Vinnytsky explained.
The state will pay special attention to teachers. The official acknowledged that the salary policy in the field of education remains weak, despite this year's increase of 2 thousand hryvnias. At the same time, the recovery of the teacher's staff is strategically important.
“Our teacher is getting old. Investments of future educators are investments in the future of the country, ”the Deputy Minister stressed.
In addition to medical and pedagogical specialties, the state order will also cover specialists who will be able to join the physical reconstruction of the country. Among them are architects, builders, engineers, transport logistics specialists. Natural sciences - physics, chemistry and mathematics - will not be ignored.
Despite the war, the Ministry of Education and Science emphasize that they are working to increase the state funding of education and, in particular, try to maintain the balance between the needs of the front and the rear.
