Presenter Anatoly Anatolich spoke about language policy in Ukraine

Well -known Ukrainian presenter and showman Anatoly Anatolich expressed his position on the language issue, which, in his opinion, is as important as never before. He posted the corresponding post on his Instagram page, sharing his reflections on language, its importance and how it has changed for many Ukrainians in recent years.

Anatoly Anatolich, who was born in Kryvyi Rih, told how he was not given the importance of his native language as a child, and how he actively spoke in Russian in his teens. However, over time, he realized that it was necessary to protect and store the Ukrainian language, especially after a full -scale war. He recalled, as in 2004, standing on the Kryvyi Rih Maidan, he and his peers were first spoken in Ukrainian, and then, working on the radio, was forced to learn the language to get into the media environment.

Anatolich noted that the surge of love for the Ukrainian language took place in 2014, when many Ukrainians began to actively use their mother tongue, but this wave was quite quickly. The presenter recalled that in 2016, many people began to speak Russian again, and even actively attended the concerts of Russian artists, such as Basta, despite the active protest of a certain part of Ukrainian society.

The showman noted that in 2022, after a full -scale invasion of Russia, there was a major transition to Ukrainian among Ukrainians, but now, he said, this trend is changing again, especially among the younger generation. In particular, he noted that even his own children began to use Russian at school.

Anatoly Anatolich emphasized the importance of protecting the Ukrainian language and warning that the language we speak is part of national identity. At the same time, he spoke of singer Svetlana Loboda, who was repeatedly criticized for continuing the songs in Russian, even being abroad. The showman noted that it was her personal decision and her "market", and added that in Ukrainian they continue to communicate with Loboda when she is in Ukraine.
