US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken believes that Russia, Iran and China will only benefit if Congress does not approve additional funding for Ukraine and Israel.
In his interview with CNN, Blinken emphasized that this decision will positively contribute to the interests of Moscow, Tehran and Beijing. He also expressed indignation at Russian aggression in Ukraine and called for Russia to be restrained in order to avoid a conflict with NATO countries, in which the United States could become involved.
Noting the successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the front, Blinken noted their achievements in repelling Russian aggression and returning more than half of the territory captured by Russia since February 2022.
Republicans in Congress have blocked a bill to provide aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan, demanding proposals to strengthen border security in a White House request. It is noted that the White House has warned Congress that funds for aid to Ukraine are running out.
In this regard, the White House has issued a warning that in case of termination of support to Ukraine and a possible attack of Russia on the borders of NATO, it will be necessary to act within the framework of the fifth article of NATO, which may lead to the shedding of American blood.
