A well-known Ukrainian blogger is suspected of illegally crossing the border

Ukrainian law enforcement officers have started an investigation into the alleged illegal flight abroad of well-known blogger Oleksandr Voloshyn. Evidence of this escape was collected by journalist Ramina Eshakzai, who handed over the materials to the police. She reported this in a comment for the "Morning in the Big City" project.

In September, the journalist released a video in which she presented the results of her investigation into Voloshyn's departure. According to her, the blogger illegally crossed the border of Ukraine on July 31, impersonating the driver of a minibus of a transport company. According to Ramina, Voloshyn prepared in advance to leave by selling real estate in Ukraine and taking his cars abroad.

"The police are working with the evidence I collected. Since a blogger like Oleksandr Voloshyn is used to joking and pranking his friends, he may not understand that his actions can have serious consequences, up to an international manhunt," Eshakzai said.

At the beginning of August, Voloshyn admitted in his video that he left for Spain due to dissatisfaction with the "system" prevailing in Ukraine. He stated that he does not plan to return to the country until changes occur. In response to this, the journalist published a clip where she accused the blogger of deliberate lies and the use of corruption schemes for illegal departure.

Oleksandr Voloshyn also entered the "Peacemaker" base in July 2023, which only added to the resonance of the case.

The law enforcement officers are currently checking all the provided evidence, and in case of confirmation of the illegal actions of the blogger, he may face not only criminal liability in Ukraine, but also an international search.
