People's deputy Serhiy Rudyk, who is currently serving at the front, sharply criticized the Verkhovna Rada's decision to suspend its activities for a month. The next plenary meeting is scheduled only for August 21, which caused outrage in Rudyk.
In his posts on Facebook, Rudyk emphasized that such a long break looks completely unacceptable in the conditions of war. "Imagine the situation that we, the military, got together and went on vacation for a month. Will the war wait?" Rudyk wrote. "You say, such savagery does not fit in the head? No, quite a real picture. The parliament of the warring country was locked in a barn lock for a whole month, until August 21. Military draft laws (and there were a lot of them pending) - pofig. Corruption, European integration, budget revision - purple. The reform of the customs, where billions are stretched in the pockets, is out of time."
Rudyk noted that this decision may be beneficial to certain groups. "First of all, without a decision of the parliament, the government is prolonging the Budget resolution for 25-27 years. And there, you know, the freezing of social benefits for serfs, it is better to take it "quietly". Secondly, it is necessary to slow down the scandalous issue with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the FSB. They made a little noise and that's enough. It is impossible to accept, it will somehow be awkward in front of the allies from the OPZZ, and maybe they have already quietly put the Moscow church up for bidding with the Russians," said the People's Deputy of Military Affairs.
Rudyk also emphasized that "what is being done to the parliament now is a real crime." "To destroy the legislature and slow down the laws that strengthen our defense capability is stupidity and working for the enemy," he added.
