Despite the difficult situation on the front, the authorities of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, announced a tender for the purchase of flowers for almost 100 thousand hryvnias. The relevant information appeared in the ProZorro Public Procurement System on February 6, 2025.
Flowers want to buy in the amount of 1265 units. Among the names are roses, carnations, gypsophila, chrysanthemums and greens for bouquet decorations.
The customer of the goods is the department of culture, tourism and protection of cultural heritage of the Pokrovsk City Council.
According to ProZorro, the authorities plan to spend 99 thousand hryvnias on the declared product.
At the same time, according to the Main Department of the National Police in Donetsk region, the distance from Pokrovsk to the front - only 3 km. The city is under attacks of aviation, artillery, RSZV and drones. There are no safe places in Pokrovsk: both neighborhoods, private sector and city center suffer from hostile blows. However, there are now about 7,000 residents in the city who are called to be evacuated.

Pokrovskaya defenders report that recently the enemy has changed tactics, attacking flanks instead of frontal blows, trying to create a tick -borne maneuver around the city.
According to the Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces Alexander Sirsky, the Pokrovsky direction remains one of the hottest. Only in January this year, Ukrainian soldiers had more than 15,000 invaders here, of which about 7000 were irrevocable.
Ukrainian military Victor Tregubov stated that the Russians are trying to bypass and surround Pokrovsk from the West. According to him, this differs from their approach to the capture of previous large urban areas, where they preferred expensive frontal attacks and street battles.
