The Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine exposed the scheme of illegal appropriation of budget funds, which was attended by three military. They have already been declared suspicion.
According to the investigation, the scheme was organized by the then commander of one of the military units. He attracted two other subordinates to the equipment-the chief sergeant and the electrician driver. The latter became the "recipient" of combat payments: he was charged 30 thousand hryvnias on a monthly basis for allegedly participating in hostilities, as well as once issued 100 thousand hryvnias.
However, it turned out that all this time the "fighter" was not at the front at all - he was in Kropyvnytskyi.
Thus, from June 2023 to March 2024, three defendants illegally took over more than 840 thousand hryvnias of budget funds, which were subsequently distributed.
Law enforcement officers have already presented suspicion to all three participants. They are charged with the seizure of another's property by an organized group. The issue of choosing a preventive measure is currently being resolved.
