Ivan Marukhno, Deputy Commander of the Patrol Police of Khmelnytsky District, declared the purchase of a Volkswagen Passat car for a funny amount - UAH 6,000. Such a price raises many doubts, as the market value of such a car in Ukraine starts from $ 8,000.
According to the electronic declaration, Ivan Marukhno is the deputy commander of company # 2 of the patrol police battalion in Vinnytsia region. In 2024 he received 431 thousand hryvnias from service in police. Together with his wife, the spouse owns two land plots - 0.25 hectares and 2 ha, respectively, with an area of 101.8 square meters and an apartment at 70.1 square meters.
The wife of the police - Victoria Marukhno - works as the chief specialist in the department of financing and accounting of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office. Its annual income for 2024 amounted to UAH 315 thousand. Back in 2019, she declared a VAZ-21065 car in 2001.
The released amount of buying a German car looks illogical in view of the cost of similar models in the market. Such a "discount" on Passat can indicate either the lower value of the real value of the property or the possible scheme of legalization of funds or property, which goes into ownership on the basis of fictitious contracts.
