The Ukrainian company Stetman has signed a license agreement with the Swedish firm Requtech on the production of satellite terminals that can be an alternative to Starlink. This was reported by CEO of Stetman Dmitry Stetsenko on his Facebook page.
According to him, it is about mass production of terminals based on the Swedish RESA model. These are flat antennas similar to those used in Starmod Starmod Mobile Mobile Systems. Requtech will provide the Ukrainian company with full technical documentation, and Steetman adapts to its own needs - with its design, protection and Ukrainian components.
"Thanks to this, Ukraine will not only receive an alternative to Starlink, for which we are very grateful for timely technological support, but also our own production of satellite equipment," Stetsenko emphasized.
The terminals will be made for internal use - especially in war and risks for digital infrastructure. In the future, the products are planning to export, in particular, as part of the development of the European Satellite Network.
Production volume is not fixed at this time. However, in the optimistic scenario, after six months, Stetman can set up from 2,000 to 10,000 terminals monthly, paying the Swedish company licensed deductions for each device.
Despite the launch of production, Stetman is not urged to give up Starlink. On the contrary, Stetsenko emphasizes the importance of reserve systems and financial diversification so that the country can use both technologies at the same time.
