Ukrainian businessman Viktor Polishchuk, the owner of the shopping, entertainment and business center "Gulliver" in Kyiv, started a legal dispute against the National Agency of Ukraine for the Identification, Search and Management of Assets Obtained from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA). The basis for filing a lawsuit is the protection of the entrepreneur's honor, dignity, and business reputation.
According to the data posted on the website of the Shevchenkiv District Court of Kyiv, on July 18, 2024, an auto-distribution took place, and the lawsuit of Polishchuk against ARMA and PJSC "Yuridichna praktika" will be considered by judge Tetyana Levytska.
At the beginning of June, the Shevchenkiv District Court of Kyiv granted the request of the Prosecutor General's Office and allowed the transfer of the "Gulliver" complex to the management of ARMA. However, representatives of "Gulliver" state that such a decision grossly violates the procedural and material norms of the law and actually means the capture of the business with the assistance of law enforcement and law enforcement agencies.
It is not yet known how this situation will develop further, because representatives of the company that owns the complex are proving the groundlessness and illegality of such a decision in court.
