The enemy intensified attacks in key areas

Against the backdrop of fierce fighting, Russian forces occupied the village of Yasna Polyana, Volnovasky district, Donetsk region, and advanced in several settlements in Donbas, in particular, in Novodmitrivka, Druzhba, Maksimivka, and near Novoukrainka and Terni. This was reported by the monitoring project DeepState, which publishes an updated map of the hostilities, which shows current territorial changes.

According to information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 126 combat clashes were recorded over the past day, which were accompanied by three missile strikes, 52 air strikes and almost three thousand shelling of the positions of Ukrainian troops. Particularly active actions unfolded in the Kupyansk direction, where Russian troops launched five attacks on the fortifications of Ukrainian defenders, but all assaults were successfully repelled.

Areas of active hostilities

  • Kupyan direction : four clashes took place in the districts of Petropavlivka, Lozova, Kruglyakivka and Zagryzovo. All enemy attacks were successfully repelled, which testifies to the strength of the defense lines of the Armed Forces.
  • Lyman direction : during the day, the occupiers tried 14 times to break through in the areas of Druzhelyubivka, Katerynivka, Grekivka, Makiivka, Terniv, and Serebryansky forest, but all attempts were stopped by the Ukrainian military.
  • Kramatorsk direction : three attempts by the Russian invaders to advance near Stupochy also ended in failure.
  • Toretsk direction : Russian troops carried out three assault attacks in the Toretsk and Shcherbinivka areas. Here, enemy bomber aircraft were particularly active in the Toretsk, Kostyantynivka, and Petrivka districts, which indicates attempts to exert intense pressure on defensive positions.

Increasing activity in the Pokrovsky and Kurakhiv directions

The intensity of the fighting remains high in the Pokrovsky direction , where the occupiers carried out 36 assault and offensive actions, maintaining great activity in the areas of Sukha Balka, Myrolyubivka, Mykolaivka, Lysivka, Novogrodivka, and Selidovo.

In the Kurakhiv direction, 48 combat clashes were recorded, where Ukrainian defenders resisted enemy attacks near Ostrivskyi, Ilyinka, Novoselidivka, Kreminnaya Balka and other settlements.

Also, two attempts of Russian troops to break through to Trudovoy were recorded in the Vremivsk direction, but none of them brought success to the occupiers.

Assessment of the situation

Considering the increasing intensity of hostilities, Ukrainian soldiers continue to repulse the enemy's attacks, preventing him from gaining a foothold in new positions. However, the threat of further shelling and airstrikes remains high, creating additional challenges for defense and the civilian population in the east of the country.
