The situation in the northern direction of the Kharkiv region has sharply escalated. A Ukrainian military man with the call sign “Muchnoy” stated that Vovchansk can be considered completely lost: according to him, the settlement “has completely broken away.” Fighters on the front line warn that the enemy may launch an offensive towards key settlements, which will create a direct threat to Kharkiv.
According to the military, Russian units were able to push through the defenses from the Tsegelne district and the southern outskirts of the city and are already pressing towards Vilcha. "There they were able to grab the northern part of the village and are trying to expand control, not giving it time to stabilize," he noted.
The fighter emphasizes that the situation on the front line is critical: according to the assessments of the units holding the defense, the Russian troops have all the prerequisites for further advancement.
" The picture is looking tough. They have all the prerequisites to rush to Bugaivka, and possibly further, if the pace is not slowed down. They must be slowed down at these approaches at all costs, otherwise Kharkiv will really face a difficult period ," said "Muchnoy."
The military officer emphasized that support for Ukrainian fighters plays a critical role, as the enemy is advancing systematically and does not reduce the intensity of attacks.
" I'm just giving you a preview of what might unfold in this episode. And your support for the fighters is what really affects how many directions we can hold out. The enemy is systematically attacking. Their task is clear - to take the right bank of the Seversky Donets and push our line as far as possible ," he added.
What the General Staff says
At the same time, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refutes Russian statements about the "capture" of Vovchansk and other settlements. The headquarters emphasizes that these are propaganda attempts by the Kremlin to influence international negotiations with videos with another "flag-planting".
The General Staff confirmed that the situation in Vovchansk remains tense. The enemy is trying to advance into the city using small infantry groups, strike drones and artillery. However, Ukrainian forces continue defensive operations and hold positions in difficult sections of the front, in particular in Pokrovsk, Vovchansk and Kupyansk.
