Against the background of the scandal with the escape and accusation of corruption, General of the Security Service of Ukraine Andrii Naumov remains under the spotlight of the public and law enforcement agencies. According to the findings of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP), signs of financial swindling were found in the general's office in the amount of 33 million hryvnias.
It is known that in June 2022, at the Preševo border crossing on the way out of Serbia, property hidden from customs control was found in the BMW X6 car Naumov was driving: 593 thousand euros, 120 thousand dollars and 2 emeralds worth 6.4 thousands of euros each.
The official had no income from legal sources to purchase foreign currency and emeralds, which he tried to hide while crossing the Serbian state border.
Also, NAZK did not establish the legal sources of funds for the purchase of BMW X6 cars worth 116,000 euros and Toyota Land Cruiser 200 for 2.2 million hryvnias, which were registered for Naumov's common-law wife and her father.
We will remind that the former SBU general Andriy Naumov, sentenced in Serbia to a year in prison for money laundering, was released at the beginning of December last year.
