Today, January 28, Ukraine will experience a period of dry and abnormally warm weather. The temperature will reach +15°C in the western and southern regions during the day, and will remain within the range of 0°C to +6°C at night. No precipitation is expected, and the sky will be partly cloudy.
Forecast for the regions:
- Kyiv : Partly cloudy, +4° at night, +7° during the day.
- Lviv : Real spring weather, +5° at night, +13° during the day.
- Ivano-Frankivsk : The warmest among all cities – +4° at night, +15° during the day, partly cloudy.
- Chernivtsi : Almost cloudless, +5° at night, +14° during the day.
- Odessa : Warm day with temperatures at night +5°, during the day +9°.
- Kherson : +6° at night, +11° during the day, light cloudiness.
- Sumy : Cloudy, +3° at night, +6° during the day.
- Kharkiv : Similar weather – +2° at night, +6° during the day, mostly cloudy.
- Simferopol : Clear, +5° at night, +13° during the day.
In the west of the country, temperatures will reach record highs for January. In Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, and Uzhhorod, there will be light cloudiness with comfortable temperatures of up to +12°…+15°.
In the east and north, although slightly cooler, it will also be warm for winter. In particular, in Kramatorsk and Severodonetsk, the temperature will rise to +9° during the day and remain at zero at night.
This unusually warm weather brings a real sense of early spring, but experts remind us that such anomalies could be the result of climate change. So while Ukrainians are enjoying pleasant days, nature is probably giving us serious signals.
