I respect every person's right to freedom of choice - Bilozir spoke about Povaly in an interview

People's Artist of Ukraine Oksana Bilozir commented on the situation with the singer Taisia Povaliy , who moved to Russia and received a Russian passport. In the interview, she spoke about her attitude to her colleague's position on the war in Ukraine and noted that, although they know each other, they have never discussed her pro-Russian views.

Belozir is convinced that the traitorous Ukrainian stars bear a heavy burden because of their choice. She emphasized that not being able to return to one's homeland is terrible, and each person is responsible for their actions. "I have no right to judge anyone," she said, emphasizing the importance of freedom of choice.

"Every person has the right to do as he sees fit. I respect every person's right to freedom of choice," added the artist.

Together with interviewer Emma Antoniuk , Bilozir discussed the issue of the separation of art and politics. According to Antonyuk, many Ukrainian singers, such as Ani Lorak and Svitlana Loboda , used this concept to avoid responsibility for their actions during the war.

Belozir partially agreed with Emma's opinion, but added that art has never been outside of politics. "It was a choice: whether to position myself with the people, or choose a comfortable position for myself," she said, emphasizing that such decisions are also people's choices
