In the current conditions of the war with Russia, the problem of unlimited terms of service for servicemen in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) is becoming increasingly urgent. Many soldiers defending the country's territorial integrity remain on duty much longer than expected. At the same time, recruits do not get a chance to join the military service, which can lead to fatigue and burnout among already committed fighters. Politician and military man Ihor Lutsenko proposed a solution to this problem in his article.
How to solve the problem of unlimited terms of service of those who are currently in the Armed Forces?
Here, for example, such an idea, as a brainstorm.
"Queue for service"
Comes complete with a queue for demobilization. In fact, it's the same queue, just going in a circle. If you are demobilized, you end up at the end of the queue for mobilization.
Both queues are electronic.
You sign up for demobilization voluntarily. If you want to continue serving, that's not a question.
Suppose a certain coefficient works. If the state has mobilized two people who, according to a defined list of criteria, should theoretically replace you, then 1 serviceman receives an exit ticket (and is at the end of the line for mobilization, I repeat). But not immediately, but as soon as these people become a suitable replacement.
What are the criteria that they have become an adequate substitute? We need to think them through. Of course, newcomers have to serve for at least half a year, and then they will be considered capable of replacing their predecessor. Or even not just six months, but taking into account the risks. Because it is one thing at the front, another in the rear.
What other criteria? Of course, the sphere. Medics for medics, sappers for sappers, etc.
Of course, many questions remain...
