Military accounting issues are relevant to many families in Ukraine, especially when sons reach conscript age. According to the current legislation, citizens of Ukraine should be on military registration since the age of 17 years of age. However, the amount of information to be provided to the Territorial Center for Acquisition (CCC) raises many questions.
According to the explanation of lawyer Yuri Aivazian, published on the portal "Lawyers.ua", the conscript during the registration is obliged to provide only his personal data .
This may include:
- Passport data;
- Identification code (RKOKPP);
- Information on the place of registration of residence.
The lawyer stressed that the territorial centers of acquisition have no right to require additional information from citizens. All other necessary information, including education, marital or health, can be obtained by the CCC independently through state registers and databases.
"The Tax Code has access to all major registers, including a register of acts of social status, which allows you to obtain the necessary information without the participation of a citizen," Aivazian explained.
What does the process of registration look like?
- Achievement of the age of 17. According to the law, the young man must appear in the CCC to obtain a prescribed certificate and acquire the status of a conscript.
- Providing personal data. The conscript only reports those data that identify his person.
- Preparation of documents. The CCC independently contacts the relevant registers to collect other necessary data.
The lawyer's explanation indicates that citizens have the right not to provide unnecessary information that is already stored in the state registers. This minimizes the possibility of abuse and error by the territorial centers.
Parents whose sons have reached the conscript age are advised to familiarize themselves with the current rules of the legislation and if necessary to seek the advice of lawyers to avoid misunderstandings during interaction with the CCC.
