"If Trump shows how to end the war in 24 hours, I will be happy," - Zelensky

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his desire to hear the plan of US presidential candidate Donald Trump for a quick end to the war in Ukraine within 24 hours. Zelensky's statement was made during an interview with the German TV channel ARD.

The journalist conducting the interview recalled that Trump had previously stated the possibility of ending the war in Ukraine in 24 hours if he won the election, and Zelensky called him to Kyiv.

In response to this, Zelensky said that he would agree to talk with Trump on this topic. "I am a completely frank person, and I will definitely be able to say that after the meeting," the president said.

Zelensky also added that if Trump's format or formula really leads to peace and he can stop the war in 24 hours, then he will be a very happy president. "Because I know how many people we lose in one day. I know how much it costs. Therefore, I will be happy if someone shows how to end the war in 24 hours," Zelensky emphasized.
