In October 2024, the most frequently searched for employees in Ukraine was in the field of retail trade - 17,521 vacancies were posted during the month. The second place was taken by wholesale trade and distribution specialists with 10,171 vacancies, which confirms the high demand for employees in the field of sales. The hotel and restaurant business ranked third in the number of job offers with 9,868 vacancies.
The most and least demanded professions
In addition to the fields of sales and service, vacancies for:
- Defense Forces - 6983;
- of medicine, healthcare, pharmacy - 6503.
Among the least popular professions:
- designers - 40 vacancies;
- show business, art, culture – 163;
- tourism - 215;
- forestry and mining industry - 274 and 284 vacancies, respectively.
Salary growth in various fields
Salaries in October increased by an average of 5%, reaching UAH 22,500. In some industries, the growth was even more noticeable:
- in agriculture - by 7%, up to UAH 24,000;
- in construction - by 6%, up to UAH 27,500;
- in the cultural sphere - by 6%, up to UAH 21,500.
Salaries also increased by 5% in the following areas:
- logistics - up to UAH 21,000;
- medicine and pharmaceuticals - up to UAH 22,500;
- labor specialties and production - up to UAH 22,500.
Regionally, the largest salary increase was observed in the Lviv region, where the average salary increased by UAH 1,500 and reached UAH 22,500. Other regions also showed positive dynamics:
- Kyiv region - by UAH 1,050, up to UAH 25,000;
- Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa - by 1,000 UAH, up to 21,000 UAH;
- Kharkiv - for 1,000 UAH, up to 20,000 UAH.
