Japan and the UN jointly bought 70 tons of medicine for maternity hospitals in Ukraine

The Government of Japan and the Representation of the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine have joined forces to purchase 70 tons of medicines and medical supplies for 93 maternity hospitals throughout Ukraine. This information was disclosed by the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine through the X social network.

"The provision of pharmaceutical assistance to support reproductive health in emergency situations has begun. The Government of Japan, together with the Representation of the United Nations Fund in the field of population in Ukraine, jointly purchased 70 tons of vital drugs and medical supplies for 93 maternity hospitals in Ukraine," the diplomatic mission reported.

This winter, five mobile gas turbine generators and seven transformers were delivered to Ukraine with the support of Japan.
