The Defense Ministry launches a large -scale purchase of products for the Ukrainian army for the second half of 2025. The expected cost is UAH 22.5 billion. They promise a transparent system, quality control, laboratory tests and sanctions for suppliers. But it is increasingly difficult to believe in these words.
To the society well known results of previous purchases: rotten eggs, gaskets, millions of amounts that settled in the pockets of "pets" of the defensive department.
393 million hryvnias-so much was received by "Vegetable World" LLC, a gasket with fictitious reporting, high prices and rotten products. The partners of this structure have already appeared in cases of theft of European funds.
607 million hryvnias - just so much gave the company "Trade Granite Invest" for the supply of products for Lviv and Rivne regions. Despite the public statements about the dishonesty of this supplier by the head of the SE "DT" Artem Zhumadilov, the company won the tender. Purchases for another 900 million were completely hidden.
The control system works selectively: "not their own" is punished, but "their own" allow to feed the army, despite numerous violations:

Busk Canned Plant - 176 violations (unsanitary, unsuitable conditions)

All these companies are still among the Defense Ministry.
The Ministry of Defense presents the reform - but it is only scenery. In reality, old players come back, and new rules become a filter for "unnecessary". The media picture is beautiful. And soldiers are still at risk of health due to poor quality food.
22.5 billion hryvnias are not just a figure. This is another litmus piece of paper for Minister Rustem Umerov. At the same time, a potential scheme for those who are used to feeding the army for millions, not responsible for either quality or consequences.
