An electronic bracelet was removed from the former head of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, who was taken for a bribe of almost 3 million dollars

The higher anti-corruption court removed the electronic bracelet, but extended until July 27 the term of office of the former chairman, judge of the Supreme Court Volodymyr Knyazev. Knyazev allegedly "has no electricity for six hours a day."

In order to release Knyazev, his bail was reduced 7 times. After the ex-head of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Knyazev was released from the pre-trial detention center on bail in the amount of 18 million hryvnias. Then the article about the "organized criminal group" disappeared from the "Knyazev case": NABU found no evidence.

Now the electronic bracelet was removed from Knyazev due to the lack of light and the negative impact on his health.

Knyazev stated that at his place of residence there is no light and no communication for six hours, therefore the bracelet is ineffective. The bracelet also affects his health.

We are waiting for a statement that the prosecution causes Knyazev to be allergic and that he should be immediately released from liability under the law.

As is known, Knyazev was released from custody after paying more than UAH 18 million in bail. The following duties were assigned to him:

-arrive at every request;
- do not leave Ukraine without permission;
- notify about a change of residence and/or work;
- refrain from communicating with the convicted Oleg Horetsky and the suspect Kostyantyn Zhevago, as well as witnesses;
- deposit foreign passports and wear an electronic bracelet.
