In Kyiv, the construction of the Vynogradar subway will begin in October 2024, and the completion of the project is planned in 2.5 years. This was announced by the director of the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the KMDA Ruslan Kandybor on the air of the KYIV24 channel.
The construction will be financed in an unusual way: the contractor will first invest the funds, and the Kyiv City State Administration will pay for the works only after their inspection. According to Kandybor, the contracting company does not have at its disposal the entire necessary amount (about UAH 13.8 billion) and will attract financing in stages.
"In fact, the metro should be completed in 2.5 years. But everything depends on funding," said the director of the department.
The contract for the continuation of the construction of the Syretsko-Pecherska metro line to Vynogradar was signed with the "Avtostrada" Group of Companies. According to the terms of the contract, the cost of the project is UAH 13.785 billion, and the implementation period is 30 months.
