The situation escalated on three front lines in Ukraine - in the Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Novopavlivka regions of the Donetsk region. This was reported by the spokesman of the Khortytsia Joint Forces Operation, Nazar Voloshyna.
"The situation in the three most active directions - Bakhmutsky, Avdiivskyi and Novopavlivskyi - has worsened over the last week. Intense fighting is taking place, but the situation is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," he said.
The enemy is trying to gain a strategic advantage, to break through the front line, and has concentrated its efforts on these three directions, trying to gain an advantage in troops and assets.
"The enemy continues to attack along the entire front line, some areas are marking tactical successes. However, a dynamic change in the situation has been observed in recent days," Voloshyn added.
The Russian army does not stop its attempts to storm the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, using various types of weapons - artillery, tanks, drones.
"The enemy has also recently been actively using aviation for missile and bomb attacks," the spokesman noted.
The occupiers continue their main goal - to enter the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. According to the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavlyuk, in an interview with The Times, they also plan to capture the Zaporizhzhia region in case of success in Donbas.
